Week Forty-Two

Now therefore fear the LORD and serve Him in sincerity and in faithfulness. Put away the gods that your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt and serve the LORD ... but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
Joshua 24:14,15b

We have a choice every day. God is very gracious to us. He offers us daily the opportunity to love Him, worship Him, serve Him, obey Him. His Spirit convicts and encourages us along the pathway of life. We see in the above passage that the best and holy way to live is to hold a reverential fear of God in our hearts and with our actions to serve Him in the sincerity of gratitude and faithfully choose His pathway daily. Having a healthy knowledge of God is good but just knowing is not enough. It's in the daily display of God's goodness lived out in the grateful heart of a sinner saved by His Grace ... that pleases God and glorifies His Name.
Help us Lord to put You first and live sold out lives for You and Your glory alone! Amen.
