The Red Thread Series A wonderful “Red Thread” of salvation runs throughout the Bible, and each week we are looking at a different book of the Bible to see that Thread that leads to Jesus and God's perfect plan for redeeming mankind to Himself. FEBRUARY - WEEK ONE
Book of the Bible: Deuteronomy Theme of the Book: In Obedience, Moses records the Law of God to love the LORD with all your being Main Character(s): Moses, Joshua and God The “Red Thread”: Deuteronomy speaks of a New Prophet who will come, which is a prophecy of the future Messiah (Acts 3:22-23). Key Verses: Deuteronomy 6:5 and 18:15 'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart
and with all your soul and with all your strength. 'The LORD your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from among you, from your countrymen, you shall listen to (H)him.' APPLICATION: The law of God is quite significant. God spoke to Moses and gave Him these laws. God is the Supreme Law Giver.
Then Moses and the Levitical priests spoke to all Israel, saying,
'Be silent and listen, O Israel! This day you have become a people for the LORD your God.
