TO BEAR HIS NAME - Weekly Insights into the Names of God
(Taken from the To Bear HIs Name Study by Sandra J. Mikler Davis)
EL ROI
Our God is "all seeing." He sees perfectly and is Holy. There is no escape from an All-Seeing, Holy God. Scripture states clearly that even before we knew Him He died for us. His desire is intimacy with us. He knows us. Do we know Him? Our desire should be to know Him by Name and call upon Him personally. The relationship we share together can be one of blessing and hope. It is up to us to foster this relationship-building. He has done the work to make our relationship one of peace and joy. Jesus Christ has come to make peace for us, and has brought restoration to our broken fellowship with El Roi. May we be willing to embrace His presence today.
And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. His eyes (El Roi) are a flame of fire, and on Hs head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His Name is called The Word of God. Revelation 19:11-13
APPLICATION:
- Do I acknowledge that God is the One True God, who sees all, and have I come into a relationship with Him?
- If so, am I willing to pray the following:
Dear LORD, You are my God, and I praise Your holy Name. Jesus is my Savior, and I pray in His Name, which is the Name above all Names. Give me Your heart today, for You and You alone. Clear my poor eyesight, and give me a focus that is totally upon You, today and forever. Your loveliness is all I seek. In Jesus Name, Amen.
