Week 42

Have you noticed that time is very fragile? The weeks come and go and I wonder where they went. I keep very busy and yet in the schedule of life there are times to reflect and ponder. If those times are rear for you (and they seem to be for me) then maybe we need to Pause for the Cause!

Scripture to ponder: 1 Peter 1: 3-7 "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ;"

Now if you read through this passage you can't help but be encouraged! Why do we rejoice? It's because the rapid space we call "time" is just fading into the sunset. But the inheritance we have is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away! The time we have while down here is just as the flower that fades quickly. It will soon pass as all things here do. Though we may work for a season, hope does come in the morning hours of heaven's glory!

What will be the result of all our afflictions? Pure joy and praise and glory and honor! When life is over (and each of us don't know when that will be) and it could be today ... .we have hope because our future is imperishable and undefiled and we have reservations in heaven just waiting for us. Isn't that a delight to ponder today?

As we search our hearts daily I pray that we each will remember where we are going and take some time to Pause for the Cause of heaven and Jesus and the power of His salvation. For our time here may we each be found faithful!

Take some Pause time this week to enjoy His presence in your heart and life.

Grace and Peace to each of you in Jesus Name.
