Why Genesis?
Week 21

11 Truths of Divine Creation

9) All Things were Created Mature

Think about this. When God created the world, He created mature – full grown – things! They had the appearance of age, yet they were new! This would include living things that are ready to reproduce: plant life; animals; and human beings.

Think about this – Adam and Eve were adults, ready to be given dominion over the world?
Everything was up and running – not evolving!

One clear example is this: the stars were created with their light already reaching the earth. (BD p. 215) Genesis 1:14-15 states:

Then God said, let there be light in the expanses of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let there be signs for seasons and for days and years; and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens and to give light on the earth, and it was so. God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night, He made the stars also.
