Why Genesis?
Week 14

11 Truths of Divine Creation

2) Creation was rapid and out of nothing.

When reading the account of creation from Genesis 1 and 2, we see a progression of six literal twenty-four hour days. It also states: Then God said, let there be light; and there was light. Genesis 1:3.

This word “spoken” literally means “out of nothing”. Consider this: God created the 1st physical energy and matter. None existed before He spoke forth. We see here that God is the only cause for the beginning
of the universe.

For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities – all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. Colossians 1:16,17

These are encouraging words!
