A Faithful Witness - Week Thirty-Seven And when I came to you, brethren, I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God. For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. 1 Corinthians 2:1-2 But may it never be that I would boast, except in the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. Galatians 6:14 Paul’s conversion was dramatic. (Acts 9:1-9) His life was changed forever, and the Christian Church has been blessed. Paul had one central and singular focus. It is stated in the two passages above. His whole life held one mission, one purpose, one message ... the Cross of Christ! His faithful witness is seen throughout the New Testament Epistles. As a man of purpose, he was content in any and every circumstance because his focus was clearly on the Man, Christ Jesus, his Savior and Lord. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING was of more value to him! It would be good for us to pause and reflect on this man’s focus! Is my central focus in life on the Cross of my Lord and Savior and His amazing grace given for me? Paul was passionate toward his gift of grace through Christ! Are we?
