WEEKLY DEVOTIONALS – 2011
The Bible – Absolute Truth – Week 6

LET'S REVIEW
  • The Bible is a Living Book, speaking to the universe
  • King David had fearless trust in God and His Word
  • Agur saw God and His Word as his shield of refuge
  • The Apostle Peter was an eyewitness of the Majestic Glory, Jesus’ resurrection, and personally testifies that the Bible was written by inspiration of the Holy Spirit to mankind
  • The Bible spells out God’s Sovereignty
  • The Bible describes God as holy, perfect, and that man though created in God’s image - sinned by disobedience and is condemned to death
  • God, however, in mercy, love and grace offers to mankind a free gift - Jesus Christ the Savior
  • Each of these points have been addressed in the previous devotionals and are essential in the understanding of: Why the Bible is such an important Life-Giving Word!!

THOUGHTS TO PONDER THIS WEEK

APPLICATION:
  • Have you been motivated to listen to God through reading and meditating on the Living Word?
  • How have you been able to share with others your passion for the spoken Word of God this week?
  • Is there someone you know that believes falsely and needs the Absolute Truth?
  • Have you prayed for this person lately?
2 Corinthians 5:20-21
Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ,
as though God were making an appeal through us:
we beg you on behalf of Christ,
be reconciled to God.
He made Him who knew no sin
to be sin on our behalf,
so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
